Peptilis is a biological fungicide that contains high concentrations of beneficial bacteria, “Bacillus subtilis”. It is effective in controlling fungal diseases in different crops. As it is a naturally occurring bacterium, it promotes healthy plant growth by suppressing harmful plant pathogens. Mode of action
Peptilis (Bacillus subtilis 1.5% AS) works by colonizing the plant root and aerial surfaces. It makes a protective barrier against a variety of pathogenic fungi. The active strain of Bacillus subtilis produces antifungal compounds such as lipopeptides. Which disrupt the cell membranes of fungal pathogens. These compounds inhibit spore germination and mycelial growth of fungi like Fusarium, Rhizictonia, Sclerotinia, Pythium and Alternaria.
