PEKONA is a selective post-emergent herbicide formulated with 15% Clodinafop-Propargyl in a wettable powder (WP) form. It is highly effective in controlling a wide range of grassy weeds in wheat and other crops. PEKONA ensures that crops are protected from weed competition, allowing them to reach their full yield potential.
Mode of Action:
Clodinafop-Propargyl is a systemic herbicide that inhibits the enzyme acetyl-CoA carboxylase (ACCase), which is crucial for fatty acid synthesis in grass weeds. This disruption prevents the growth of meristematic tissues, leading to weed death. The herbicide is absorbed through the leaves and translocated to the growing points of the weed, ensuring thorough control.
Benefits:
Highly effective against grassy weeds like Phalaris minor and wild oatsSelective action ensures no harm to wheat or other target cropsQuick absorption and translocation for effective weed controlFlexible application window in post-emergent stagesEnhances crop yield by reducing weed competition
